First Day Working Experience!

I'm currently updating my blog with my sister's laptop. no, not in my working place. I'm at my made up bed, which is infront of the TV, listening to Old Hog's TV ad.

Happy!

Hope I could do this more often. i mean, using this laptop. But sadly im only using this because of my sick PC, currently in a PC shop, somewhere near my work place.

Proud

Okay, that's a long introduction. If you had read my previous entry, I am now an employee. Heep, heep, HOPRAY! Yeah! That's what I felt when I first know about my successful appliance. I am now currently working in a shoe shop (is there any other name for it? Cause I really don't know) at The Store here in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

The name of the shoe shop I work at is Popular In. One funny thing about the name is when we had to answer phone calls. We'll say, "Hello, Popular In...", and when I first listened to that, i imagined, the other person on the other sode of the line said, "Popular Out".

Hahaha.

Forced LOL

Okay maybe it's not that funny, but just laugh for goodness sake.

Including me and the boss, there are a total of 7 people working here in Popular In. I won't tell you their names. Not that you know my real name either. Hehehe... Okay. So what do we do in a shoe shop? Well, pratically we had to eopn up our shop in 10.30am every mornig. LOL, who could sell stuffs if you don't open up your shop? Anyway, they had this like weekly schedule, in which every Monday would be a clean-up day.

And sadly I had to do those clean-up stuffs (more like grown-up stuffs. Yuck, porn)

ArgHHH *going crazy*

Anyway, I had to clean-up all the shoes in the shop. Yes. ALL of them. Hundreds, I should say. So then I clean them up. I used an old cloth given by a leng chai that had work a long time there. And he was the boss's son. I had to clean-up the ladies' shoe racks.

At first, I only clean up the racks. Then the leng chai said that I also need to clean-up the shoes. Thinking that doing both was too much (yes, I do aware that I was paid to do works), and that the racks were a waste to wash (hey, customers wanted to buy shoes, not checking either the racks were spotless or not!), so I opt to only wash the shoes, not the racks, or shelves. Whatever.

Then, a leng lui, or a girl, - since she is a Malay, went to look at the shelves that I had cleaned up. She swept her finger acroos the shelves, and there were dust smeared on her finger. And I was like OMG!!! And she had to clean-up the whole shelves again. From here I knnow that we'll have a rocky and bumpy relationship, as a co-worker though.

Later that evening, the leng chai brought me up stairs. You see, this Popular In had two outlet. One in the basement level, and one in 1st floor. And they pratically displayed the same items, just that they need that extra space for storage. Upstair, the shop was 'guarded' by three leng lui. one is an original leng luui, a Chinese girl, and two Malay girls. Still most of them - which meant all of them except for me, speak Malayinese, in which meaning Malay in a Chinese dialect.

And that sucks!

Boring

Anyway, in the business of selling shoes, - or Popular In style to be accurate, we, the workers, will receive a 1% commission with every paying customer. In example, if a customer paid RM100.00, I will receive an amount of RM1.00 (yippie!).

YAY!!!!!

Okay so in other word, we will need a stuntgun in order to stunt the other worker so that we will have ALL the customers to ourselves and all the commission will be in our own name!

Hehehehe

And at the end of the day, anyone will say that working in a shoe shop is a lucrative. Or so I thought at first. Heads up, it is very not true. If not by this time everyone will work in a shoe shop and no one to buy shoe! Hah!

Actually working in a shoe company is not as a happy job as any other customer service job, like waiters in a restaurant or a cashier in a convinient store and bookstore. The main reason would be because you would have exactly NOTHING to do when there are no customers. Okay maybe that's little bit off, but yeah, I really do have nothing to do when there are no customers.

Especially when I'm working downstairs. It's boring down there. Even the female workers upstairs said that sales were better upstairs rather than downstairs.

Sleepy n Boring

But I really had to listen to my boss. If he said down, down I'll shall go. If he said up, then up it is. And almost every tiime I'm at downstairs I got nothing to do, or should I say I don't know what to do and the seniors didn't tell me what to do. And I really can't take up the idea of them wanting me to know like almost everything whilst I really am new there.

Still, work is best and great! But very tiring. VERY! You need to at least run a couple of flight of stairs before you can reach the store on the 1st floor. And you will still need to run to find the correct shoes and the correct size. But all the run and the search and the friend that you can make is fun and very adventurous.

So my advise to those that would be working for the 1st time is that you need to be barve and bold (taken from Batman : The Brave and The Bold). You musn't be scared and shy about asking and learning, especially when the big guys are there. Show that you are willing to learn and that they are not wrong in picking you up to join the team.

So that's it. I'll update later on my later experience in working and also about my co-workers (pictures maybe will be included). Thank you for not reading nor commenting.

See ya when I see ya!
